The sweet 16 is a legendary shotshell cartridge worthy of any wing shooting genre. It carries lighter and patterns better than any 12 gauge in its class, making it a beloved part of the duck blind and upland fields across America for well over a century. Our heavy bismuth load is meticulously handloaded with premium American and foreign made components. It shatters the competition in pellet count and pattern performance, and will be sure to make your next wing shooting adventure a memorable one with birds in the bag.

16 gauge 2-5/8"-- classic roll crimp.

20 rounds

1-1/8oz bismuth.

1,300 FPS.

10,500 PSI. 

Pellet count and application:

#2-- 112 pellets (Geese and large ducks (pass shooting))

#4-- 174 pellets (large and medium ducks)

#5-- 222 pellets (medium, small ducks (over decoys), pheasant)

#6-- 286 pellets (teal and upland game)

#7-- 381 pellets (timber wood duck, doves, quail--inside 30 yards).

All ammunition sales are Final. If you receive an order and believe there is a defect, please contact us immediately.

Returns will only be accepted for merchandise found defective upon receipt. Salt Creek Custom Ammunition will provide a replacement of the defective merchandise or a full refund if a replacement is not available. 

Salt Creek Custom Ammunition does not claim any responsibility for items damaged during shipment. For items damaged during shipping, users need to file a claim with the carrier. Please use our contact form located on the contact page if you receive a defective item.

Awesome shells, great customer service!!

I have my grandpa’s 16-gauge 870 Wingmaster, and I don’t shoot anything but Salt Creek ammo through it! These bismuth shells are perfect for duck, pheasant, you name it! I honestly wouldn’t hesitate to use them for turkey too (though I prefer the salt creek TSS for turkey)
